Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide dialysis nursing care with a patient ratio of 1:2 (RN:patient) or 1:3 (RN + Certified Dialysis Tech:patient).
- Perform bedside and peritoneal dialysis treatments.
- Work hours vary by campus:
- Regional campus: Monday-Saturday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with on-call Sunday and after hours.
- Northport campus: Monday, Wednesday, Friday with on-call Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and after hours.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
- Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
- Equipment used includes Fresenius and Gambro dialysis machines; training provided if unfamiliar.
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
- Patient-facing clinical position.
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech.
- Parking available.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of 1 year of dialysis nursing experience within the last year.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Additional Information
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 36 or 48 hours).
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
- This is not a remote position.
