Description

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Travel Position

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel

Facility & Unit Overview

Level II trauma center with comprehensive stroke and Level III neonatal intensive care units
Pediatric emergency room with 30 pediatric subspecialists
Busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas
Only open heart and interventional cardiology program in the region
Unit: Respiratory Services
Number of Beds: 854
Staff: Approximately 120 respiratory therapists
Shifts:
- Day: 15-20 RRTs for adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
- Night: 12-16 RRTs for adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
Patient Ratios: 10-25 patients per therapist
Equipment: GE R860 Adult vents, Draeger Infant/Peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 Non-invasive device, Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
EMR System: Cerner
Floating: All critical care units and floors
Dress Code: Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs
Weekend Requirement: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
