Overview
Provides direct patient care in an intensive care unit, including assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient and family education, and care coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 1 to 2 years or more of prior travel experience required
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
- Previous nursing experience
- Strong Neuro ICU experience preferred
- Experienced ICU nurses may be considered if they have cared for neuro patients
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately
- Delegate and oversee patient care tasks
- Support discharge planning and patient education
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities
Additional Notes
- The unit is seeking candidates with recent acute/critical care travel experience, a minimum of 1–2 years in a staff ICU role before traveling, and current leadership references
