Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient (Days)
Location: Springfield, Vermont
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 8
Job Overview
- Provide evaluations and treatments including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises for patients with diagnoses such as post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis, general deconditioning, balance, and vertigo issues.
- Patient caseload typically includes 8 patients per day Monday-Thursday, 6 on Friday.
- Must be flexible to work inpatient physical therapy as needed.
- Treat a variety of conditions including orthopedic and sports injuries, gait and balance training, fractures, musculoskeletal dysfunctions, neurological disorders (e.g., stroke, Parkinson’s), bone and joint diseases, hand injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
- Outpatient clinics are closed for major holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Vermont
- Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with CPSI EMR highly preferred.
- Previous experience working with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) preferred.
Additional Information
- Facility will not consider travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility.
- All requested time off (RTO) must be noted and verified at profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO accepted. Requests after submission will not be approved and may lead to offer rescindment.
- Travelers must have voicemail set up and be reachable by phone.
- This is a small community; reliable transportation is a firm requirement.
Orientation & Scheduling
- No non-billable orientation hours.
- No overtime multiplier; OT paid at flat hourly rate.
- Holiday and call-back multipliers apply at 1.25x.
