MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Mount Pleasant, South Carolina
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
• Weekend Work: Alternates between no Saturday and working one Saturday shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) every other week to maintain 40 hours/week
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: May be required to float between two nearby outpatient clinic facilities
• Facility Type: Outpatient Clinic
• Charting System: Epic
• Dress Code: Teal scrub top and black pants
• Parking: No cost

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required (state license not required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Must comply with a 60-mile radius rule for travel assignments
• Locals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Hurricane season (June–November) may require assignment to emergency response teams; candidates should consider this before accepting new or extension assignments
• Radiation badge must be obtained before starting patient care; badge processing can take 5-7 days
• Fit testing must be done with specific N95 masks; candidates with facial hair are encouraged to shave or trim before testing
• COVID-19 vaccination is highly preferred but not required; declination form must be completed if not vaccinated
• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted

Compliance & Documentation

• Must complete all required health screenings, immunizations, and certifications before start date
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
• Skills checklist and competency exams required for qualification
• Accurate Now background registration required within 48 hours of signing contract
• Physical exam and fit test documents must be current and uploaded as required
• Agencies must provide radiation exposure reports monthly or quarterly if applicable

This position is ideal for MRI Technologists with at least 2 years of experience seeking a travel contract in an outpatient setting with a consistent day shift schedule and no call requirements.
