MRI Technologist I

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

This entry-level position works under immediate to general supervision to develop competencies in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services for adult and pediatric patients. The role supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and monitoring of various conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care in diverse settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
  • Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, or surgical procedures.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
  • MRI Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience working with pediatric patients
  • Experience with Philips imaging equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher

Work Schedule

  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including on-call hours
  • 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week

  • This is an entry-level position with mentorship and supervision provided.
