Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: DeWitt, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule Notes: Evenings, weekends based on unit needs
Job Summary
Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room setting, delivering direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background checks (federal, nationwide, county) within last 7 years, including SSN verification and alias checks, dated within 30 days of start.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma.
- OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion checks within 30 days of start.
- NSO (National Sex Offender) registry check within 30 days of start.
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure form.
- Code of Conduct form.
- Confidentiality and Information System Security Agreement.
- Integrity and Audit Services form.
- Non-Employee Upload form.
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
- Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year.
- System Access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors.
- Iowa-specific Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training and registry checks (for Iowa assignments).
Additional Notes
- All certifications and licenses must be uploaded as scanned copies showing expiration dates.
- Drug screen must be completed and resulted before start with Medical Review Officer (MRO) signature.
- Background and compliance documents must be current and uploaded into the credentialing system prior to start.
- Evening and weekend shifts are assigned based on unit needs.
This position is suitable for experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses who meet the above licensure, certification, and health requirements and are prepared for a 13-week long-term assignment with evening/night shifts.
