Nuclear Medicine Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Shenandoah, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Summary

• Work setting includes Adult, Clinic, Hospital, and Nuclear Cardiology environments.
• No weekend shifts, call, or float required unless part of the schedule.
• Allscripts experience is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Iowa
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification
• NMTCB certification
• Experience working with adult patients
• Experience with Allscripts

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Background checks within 30 days of start date covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including SSN trace and sex offender registry checks.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start.
• Signed facility-specific agreements including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality and Access to Information, Parking Policy, and COVID-19 Employee Health Attestation.
• Physical exam within 12 months of start date.
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (medical exemption accepted).
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months (or documented history of positive TB with required follow-up).
  • Annual TB questionnaire.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer; boosters required if negative.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer; boosters required if negative.
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); mask required if declining.
  • Latex allergy screening questionnaire.
  • 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start date.
• COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended (both initial and fully vaccinated doses).

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment.
• No prior travel experience required.
