Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel)
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a 54-bed Emergency Department designated as a Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center.
- Emergency Department treats over 60,000 patients annually.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
- Work schedule includes 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend, and holidays as required.
- The position is patient-facing and clinical.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
- Parking is available.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Licenses
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama.
Certifications
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience within the last year.
Additional Information
- This is not a remote position.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
