Registered Nurse (PACU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Unit Information

• Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Number of Beds: 16
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Staffing: Only RNs; no unit secretaries or techs available
• Equipment: Bedside monitors, arterial lines (a-lines)
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling: 12-hour shifts with call rotations
• Floating Policy: No floating
• Patient Experience Focus: OAS CAHPS
• Procedures: Intubations performed (anesthesia leads this)
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
• Team Environment: Great teamwork

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Additional Notes

• Preferred Certifications: CCRN and CAPA preferred but not required
• No unit secretaries or tech support; RNs handle all unit responsibilities
• Opportunity to work with new equipment and experienced staff
