Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work on a 36-bed telemetry pulmonary unit focused on diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory disorders.
- Patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1.
- Provide specialized care for patients with various lung diseases or injuries.
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy departments.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.
- Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required.
- Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week.
- Clinical, patient-facing position.
- EMR system used: Meditech.
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
- Parking available.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alabama.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience).
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
