Description

Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (7 AM - 7 PM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: None


Unit & Patient Population

  • ICU unit on 2nd floor with 14 beds
  • Medical ICU with minimal cardiac cases
  • Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients, no charge nurse responsibilities
  • Patient types include sepsis, respiratory issues, some cardiac and trauma cases
  • Equipment occasionally includes Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
  • Electronic Health Record system: Paragon

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) experience within the last year
  • Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Washington Suicide Prevention certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

  • No block schedules
  • Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
  • Team-oriented work environment emphasizing accountability and best practices
  • Facility is a teaching hospital with a variety of services including ED, Family Medicine, Ortho, OBGYN, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Urgent Care, Lab, and Diagnostic Imaging
  • Located in a region with recreational opportunities including golf courses, parks, and wine country
  • New Employee Orientation dates available throughout the year
