Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

Oncology Unit with 16 beds, recently reopened
Focus on patients with various cancer diagnoses
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
Specializes in chemotherapy administration
Multidisciplinary team including oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff
Emphasis on compassionate, specialized nursing care and creating an optimal healing environment

Work Schedule & Requirements

36 or 48 hours per week accepted
Every other weekend required
Holidays as required
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Licenses

Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama

Certifications

BLS issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
