Description

Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Provide total care for ICU patients in a 12-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:2-3.
  • Manage ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene.
  • Floating required to Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) departments:
    • ER floating involves assisting with call lights, medication administration, transport, IV starts, and blood draws without taking patient assignments.
    • Med Surg floating may require taking a full patient assignment (up to 6 patients) or acting as an aide (up to 12 patients).
  • No on-call required.
  • Holiday shifts are required.
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: MedHost.
  • Scrub color: Any.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Emergency Department (ER) experience
  • Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) experience
