Overview

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
Employment type: Travel
Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week available
Contract length: 13 weeks
Temp-to-perm: Possible

Unit Details

Mixed cardiac and medical ICU
Patient types include DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator patients
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients in the ICU

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
CCU - Coronary Care (1 year of experience)
CCU - Coronary Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
Experience with Impellas
Experience with Post-op Cardiovascular surgeries
Experience with CRRT

Experience

1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
1 year of experience in a critical care setting preferred, but new graduates will be accepted

Schedule Requirements

Every other weekend
No call
No floating

Additional Notes

New hires must complete orientation and competency validation within the first 30 days
Dress code: Teal or Caribbean Blue
