Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel/Contract)

Location: Tyler, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical
  • Unit Focus: Orthopedic Trauma and Total Joint Replacement experience required
  • Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
  • Unit Size: 36 beds
  • Charting System: Epic

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
  • Orthopedic Trauma experience
  • Total Joint Replacement experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferences

  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred (not mandatory)

  • Candidates residing in the following Texas counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris

  • Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required
  • Clear headshot photo required for badge
  • Some certifications and requirements may be facility-specific or required as applicable based on patient population and unit needs
