Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide quality healthcare in a 12-bed Medical Surgical unit with adult and geriatric patient populations.
Patient ratio is 6:1.
May float to other Medical Surgical units as needed.
No call requirements.
Weekend hours every other week or as needed.
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
Required certifications prior to start: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check before assignment start.

Work Environment & Tools

Electronic Health Record system: Meditech.
Level III Trauma Center.
Professional dress code; scrubs of any color allowed; casual wear not acceptable.

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
Facility has been serving the community for over 60 years and is fully accredited.
