Registered Nurse — Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Schedule: 3x12, 7p–7a, with weekend and holiday rotation
Contract length: 13 weeks

Overview

This role is for a registered nurse providing direct patient care on a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum unit. The nurse is responsible for comprehensive assessments, care coordination, patient and family education, treatments, and ongoing evaluation of patient response to care.

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Kentucky
BLS
LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (1 year of experience)
LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience within the last year

Key Responsibilities

Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
Provide nursing rounds, treatments, and patient/family education
Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately
Develop and revise plans of care based on patient needs and outcomes
Support quality improvement activities and patient safety goals
Delegate and coordinate care with other team members as appropriate
