Stepdown Cardiac
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Manchester, New Hampshire
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- No Thanksgiving RTO
Role Details
- Assigned to the ED unit to care for inpatient/CICU level holds in the ED
- Team-based care model with floating to similar units as needed
- May assist with patient sitting
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS
- TNCC
- MAB
- CPI
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- ED experience
Clinical Scope
- Common patient types include chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, and pneumonia
- May also see medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, and orthopedic overflow patients
- Additional cases include post-cath with stent only, ICD/pacer insertions, and cardioversions

- Vapotherm
- Alaris pumps
- Phillips monitoring system
