Job Opportunity: Cath Lab/Angio Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit and Specialty

• Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab

Work Schedule

• Day shifts with varied start times
• Shift length: 8 or 10 hours
• 40 hours per week
• Call required 1-2 days per week, including weekends and holidays
• Call team consists of 4 members

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures
• Support procedures including angiography, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertion
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring
• Utilize and maintain knowledge of radiology equipment and image processing
• Understand diagnostic imaging modalities such as Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine
• Document patient care using Meditech EMR system
• Monitor patients using Sensis equipment
• Work with Siemens equipment and manage lab work (2 labs)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Hawaii
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Must be able to arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday

• Must be prepared to take call as scheduled
