Description

Temp Sonographer - Echo (Days)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (8 hours per day)


Job Overview

  • Provide professional and clinical sonography services as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • May float within the sonography discipline across local campuses.
  • Perform approximately 7-8 scans per day.
  • Focus on solid echocardiography skills; full cardiovascular skill set not required.
  • Use EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Required to work 36-40 hours per week; overtime applies after 40 hours.
  • Required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, including experience within the last year.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
  • Certification from ARDMS or CCI.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
  • Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Additional Information

  • Orientation scheduled for May 26–27 and June 8–9.
  • Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months are preferred.
  • Call back and on-call shifts may be required with additional compensation.

This position is ideal for sonographers with solid echocardiography skills seeking a temporary assignment in a hospital setting with a focus on cardiovascular and vascular sonography.
