Description

Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Columbia, South Carolina
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • May float within scope to like units or sister facilities
  • First-time travelers are not accepted
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience in Charge roles
  • Experience with Epic

Schedule / Work Setting

  • Team ratios
  • Free-standing emergency room
  • May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season

Compliance / Onboarding

  • All verification items must be started within 48 hours after signing
  • Required references: 2 clinical references, with at least one from the same unit
  • Annual background check required
  • Annual skills checklist required
  • Annual physical exam required
  • Annual respirator clearance required
  • Tdap required within 10 years of start or declination
  • TB testing required within 90 days of start
  • Drug screen required within 90 days of start
  • COVID vaccination documentation is preferred; declination accepted if not provided
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
  • Education verification required
  • Work history verification required for clinical employers

Additional Notes

  • Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis
  • RTO must be submitted at time of application
  • Parking is free
