Description
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts of 12 hours each, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Details
- Position floats between units.
- Weekends required: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period.
- On-call: Not required.
- Block schedules: Not required.
- Patient ratio: 1:5.
- Special requirement: Experience with Epic Hardstop system.
- 48-hour shifts approved.
Facility Type
- Short Term Acute Care hospital.
- 379 staffed beds.
- Level II Trauma Center.
Uniform/Dress Code
- Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN): solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (scrub tops may have colored piping). Print tops not allowed except in Children’s Hospital units.
- Women’s Services units have unit-specific scrub attire requirements.
- Unlicensed personnel wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs.
Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Valid RN license in Texas.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience
- Med Surg (1 year of experience).
- Med Surg experience within the last year.
Certifications
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
