Registered Nurse - Step Down

Call requirements: As needed by unit

Unit Information

Patient ratio: 5:1
Float requirements: Medical-Surgical unit
Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arkansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiac Stepdown experience (2 years), including experience within the last year
Stepdown experience
Med Surg experience
BLS certification
ACLS certification
NIHSS certification
Driver's License
Experience with Post CV Surgeries
Experience titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol)
Experience with BIPAPs
Experience utilizing Airvos

Work Environment and Culture

Comfortable with rapid turnaround and changing priorities
Dress code: Black scrubs

Additional Notes

Patient population includes those requiring step down care after cardiac procedures
Facility recognized for exceptional customer service and patient safety (Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade “A”)
