Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• CPI
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Trauma experience
• Cardiac experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ICU experience
• Cardiac experience
• TNCC

Unit Details

• 12-bed unit
• Typical patient ratio: 4-6
• RN and ED tech coverage 24/7
• Approximate annual volume: 14,000
• Average acuity: 3

Schedule

• 3 x 12-hour shifts
• 6-8 weekend shifts per schedule

Clinical Skills / Procedures

• Bedside cardioversion
• Procedural sedation
• Splinting
• Assisting with intubation

Work Environment

• Community emergency department with MD and mid-level support 24/7

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs with white tops
