Description
Oncology Registered Nurse Coordinator
Location: Beaverton, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day, 4x10s, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Overview
Ambulatory oncology clinical RN coordinator role supporting radiation oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team and working in a variable schedule and variable work location environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Oncology experience within the last year
- Oncology (3 years of experience)
- 1 year of recent ambulatory care coordination experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- OCN
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
Work Environment
- Multitasking with multiple interruptions
- Exposure to noise, human tissues/fluids, hazardous medications, and radiation
- Must be able to use medical and non-medical unit equipment required for the role
Patient Population
- Hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, transplant, CAR-T, TIL, and DLI
- Medical oncology cases including sarcoma, head and neck, breast, lung, GI/GU, prostate, and CNS
- Adult and pediatric patients
- Non-oncology diagnoses requiring radiation treatment
Compliance / Onboarding Notes
- Valid government-issued photo ID required on first day
- Background check and related screening items must be completed before start
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start
- Fit testing required within 1 year prior to start
- TB screening required
- Immunization or declination documentation required for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap, and flu
- Two manager or supervisor references required from the last 24 months
- Skills checklist required within 1 year of start
- Employment application must include at least 7 years of work history with city and state for each position
- Professional appearance policy, job description, and required onboarding modules must be reviewed and signed/completed before start
