Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Location

Wichita, Kansas

Assignment Details

Travel position
13-week contract
36 hours per week
Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Unit Overview

Birth care suites / labor and delivery unit
29 beds
Typical staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 3-4 RNs on days, and 1 charge nurse and 2-3 RNs on nights
Patient ratio: 4-6:1

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Post Partum experience
ACLS
AWHONN
BLS
NRP

Preferred Experience

OB experience
Med-surg experience
GYN experience

Common Patient Care Areas

Post-operative gynecological surgery
Urogynecology surgery
Ectopic pregnancies
High-risk pregnancies requiring hospitalization
Fetal monitoring
GYN oncology post-op care
Women’s health med-surg
Post-partum NICU mother care
Readmitted post-partum complications

Work Environment

Uses Meditech and CPN for EMR
Equipment includes Welch Allyn vital signs machines, CPN monitors, and point-of-care glucose monitoring
