Description

CVOR Tech

Overview

  • Specialty: Surgical Services
  • Location: Portland, Oregon
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Start: ASAP
  • Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM
  • Hours: 40 per week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Details

  • CVOR CST role in the main OR when there are no CVOR cases
  • Cardiac call is required
  • Floating is required to an ambulatory sister site if needed

Required Qualifications

  • CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of CVOR Technologist experience
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program
  • NBSTSA certification
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Experience

  • 2 years of level 1 trauma experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe OR environment and support patient safety during operative procedures
  • Use sterile and aseptic technique
  • Perform scrub role duties in surgical specialties
  • Manage equipment, instrumentation, and supplies
  • Respond appropriately in emergency and code situations
  • Complete operating room turnover between cases in a timely manner

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Valid government-issued photo ID required on first day for badge issuance
  • Background check required before start
  • Employment application must include at least 7 years of work history with city and state for each position
  • Skills checklist required within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask clearance required within 1 year prior to start
  • TB screening and questionnaire required before start
  • Drug screen required before start
  • References required: 2 manager or supervisor references from the last 24 months
  • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific orientation and policy documents before start
