Respiratory Therapist Travel Contract

Location

• Avon, Indiana

Schedule

• Day shift, 3x12 hours
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Must work 2 of the 3 holidays selected by leadership

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience
• Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience
• Experience with Cerner

Clinical Setting / Duties

• Float across Emergency Department, Adult ICU, Adult Med Surg, Adult Progressive Care, high-risk deliveries, NICU II, and adult acute care
• May assist with pediatric care in the Emergency Department
• Best fit noted as an adult traveler with Labor and Delivery experience

Skills / Clinical Experience Needed

• Airway management, including endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, intubation assist, nasal airway placement, oral airway placement, and tracheostomy/suctioning
• Aerosol setup for mask and trach
• Nebulizer therapy
• Vent management, including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Oxygen therapy, including high-flow nasal cannula
• Suction
• Neonatal/pediatric support, including assist in high-risk delivery, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, and oscillating ventilator

• Not a home-based position
