Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract RN role in Greenville, South Carolina
  • Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend coverage is every other weekend, though this may change based on need
  • Floating is required if needed
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Summary

  • Cardiac telemetry unit with 32 beds
  • Provides telemetry monitoring and nursing care for patients with cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure
  • Care includes continuous EKG monitoring and/or continuous oxygen saturation monitoring, IV and oral cardiac/arrhythmia medications, and preparation of patients for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and other procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Telemetry experience within the last year
  • 2 years of telemetry experience
  • 3 years or more of total travel experience in specialty
  • Experience with Epic

Required Certifications

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS

Additional Worksite Requirements

  • Medication system used: Omnicell
  • Driver’s license or state ID required immediately upon signing for computer access and must be carried while on duty
  • Background check, education verification, drug screening, and health screening/documentation are required before start
  • Badge photo required
  • Online modules and pass/fail testing must be completed before start
