Unit: CSSU
Bed count: 15
Patient ratio: 4:1
Support staff: 1–2 LNA support
Scheduling: 12 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts per month
Floating: Travelers float first on a rotation basis

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Hampshire
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Strong telemetry skills
Experience titrating vasoactive medications such as levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine
Chest tube experience

Preferred Skills

Arterial lines
Flo-Tracs
Temporary pacing

Clinical Focus

Cardiovascular and vascular surgery
Pre-op preparation for cardiovascular surgery
Chest-tube removal
Arterial line removal

Additional Notes

Bedside shift report is completed at each change of shift
MyCare board is updated each shift during bedside shift report
Scrubs may be any color
