Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room
Job Details
- Location: Des Moines, Iowa
- Employment type: Temp
- Shift: Nights
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Driver's License
- Experience with Epic
- Experience with DaVinci robotic surgical systems
- Experience with general surgery cases
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrub experience
- Experience with neurology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ear/nose/throat, and vascular cases
- Trauma Level I experience
Work Environment
- Operating room role
- Traveler will float across all campuses
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Average caseload: 35-50 cases per day
- 16 operating rooms, with 12-14 typically running
- Level I trauma center
- Scrubs provided
Additional Notes
- Must work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed
- EPIC experience within the previous 3 years is required
- Orientation dates are available on 8/17, 8/24, 8/31, 9/8, and 9/14
