Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Minimum of 5 years of Med Surg experience
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• ED - Emergency Department experience
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience with Cerner

Role Summary

• Provides observation and/or inpatient care on a Med Surg unit
• Responsible for assessment, prioritization, nursing interventions, monitoring, reassessment, documentation, patient and family education, and collaboration with providers to support continuity of care and reduce readmission

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Hospital setting with frequent interruptions and moderate noise
• Requires heavy physical activity, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and assisting with patient movement and positioning
• Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids, communicable disease, radiation, chemicals, hazardous materials, and verbal or physical abuse
