Assignment Details

Travel/contract role
13-week contract
Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Weekdays with every other weekend required
36 hours guaranteed
First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
May float if needed, within scope

Unit Overview

Intermediate care unit with 15 beds
Cares for adult and pediatric surgical and vascular patients needing close cardiac monitoring
Handles priority transfers from ICU
Invasive monitoring capability, including arterial and central venous pressure monitoring

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in West Virginia
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License
Cardiac telemetry/telemetry experience
Post-TAVR (Transcatheter aortic valve replacement) patient care
Post-CEA (carotid endarterectomy) patient care
Post-femoral popliteal bypass patient care
Invasive line monitoring
Transvenous pacemaker management
Chest tube management
Respiratory ventilation management
Dysrhythmia interpretation
Dysrhythmia management

Holiday time-off requests should be limited to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
Orientation is held every other Thursday
