PACU Registered Nurse

Location

Wilmington, North Carolina

Contract

13 weeks

Schedule

Night shift
3x12 hours
7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Job Details

May recover surgical patients in the ICU setting
Float to overflow areas, typically surgical short stay
Call is once every four weeks
RTO after booking is not allowed
Navy scrubs

Preferred Qualifications

Charge nurse experience
Conscious sedation experience
FHM experience
ICP experience
Telemetry experience
Ventilator experience
ICU background prior to PACU
Pediatric experience

Unit Notes

Phase 1 recovery unit that also receives patients from the OR, EP Lab, Endo, IR, MRI, and ICU
Phase II recovery may also be part of the workflow
New hires receive individualized orientation based on experience and skill level
