Medical Surgical Float RN

Overview

  • Location: Anderson, South Carolina
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Start date: 8/24
  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
  • Weekly hours: 36
  • Patient ratio: 1:6
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Details

  • Medical Surgical unit
  • Required to float to other medical-surgical units as needed
  • Every other weekend required
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • First-time travelers are accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Med Surg (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Application Requirements

  • Submit all requested time off with the application
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • 2 clinical references
  • Resume/application
  • Photo for badge
  • Completion of online orientation and required acknowledgements
  • Review of the COVID policy before start

Health and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • Immunity or documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
  • Annual fit testing
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
  • Physical exam within 1 year
  • Color blindness testing

Additional Notes

  • No visible nose piercing is allowed for badge photo
  • Candidate must be able to comply with facility onboarding and health documentation requirements before start
