Description
Medical Surgical RN
Overview
- Location: Columbus, Ohio
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule notes: Weekend and rotating holidays
- Floating: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity, and to different units as needed within the organization
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of acute-care Medical/Surgical RN experience
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- IV start capability
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- Telemetry experience
- Previous travel experience
Additional Considerations
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Required to complete unit-specific competency testing
- Required to complete dysrhythmia/EKG competency testing within 1 year of start and annually thereafter, unless exempt by unit or role
- Annual stroke education may be required depending on unit assignment
