RN - NICU

Job Overview

Location: Thornton, Colorado
Employment type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
BLS
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience

Level 3 or Level 4 NICU experience
Experience with Eat Sleep Console for babies with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
Admissions and initial stabilization experience in the delivery room

Unit Details

NICU with 6 beds
Typical patient ratios: 3:1 for feeder-growers; 1:1 for vented babies
Core staffing includes NICU RNs and an NNP on site 24/7, with neonatologists on call 24/7
Common procedures include assistance with umbilical line placement, intubation, lumbar puncture, and circumcision support
