Registered Nurse — Emergency Department

Job Overview

Travel/contract role in Kinston, North Carolina
13-week assignment
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Every other weekend and every other holiday
No call
No block scheduling
No local travelers within 50 miles
Candidates will not interview
Orientation: 24 hours

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS
PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
CPI
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Job Details

Emergency department with 34 beds
Serves neonates through geriatrics
Average volume is about 100 ED visits per day
Uses Epic and Pyxis
ED provider coverage includes MD/PA
Triage area and telemetry are available
May involve conscious sedation
Traveler may be expected to float to like acuities or lower if needed
Charge role is preferred but not required

Additional Notes

Include requested time off in the submission for it to be honored at offer time
