Physical Therapist

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Rehabilitation Therapy
  • Location: Juneau, Alaska
  • Employment type: Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Alaska
  • Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, or bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with 2 years of proven work and continuing education experience demonstrating mastery of doctorate-level knowledge

Role Summary

  • Provides general physical therapy evaluations and treatments for patients across a wide range of ages and diagnoses
  • Develops, implements, supervises, and modifies therapy plans of care
  • Works with inpatient and outpatient populations in various settings
  • Oversees physical therapist assistants and other designated support staff
  • Documents patient findings, treatment plans, recommendations, and prognoses
  • Collaborates with the care team, patients, and families to support discharge planning, education, and home exercise programs

  • Traveler applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility address
  • Housing and flights are not provided
