Radiation Therapist
Job Overview
- Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
- Requested time off must be included with the submission and is limited to minimal time off, including summer holidays
Required Qualifications
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R)
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Job Responsibilities
- Operate LINAC equipment to deliver prescribed radiation therapy
- Assist with patient setup, positioning or restraining devices, portal adjustments, tumor localization, dosimetry, and CT clinical simulation
- Monitor patients in the treatment room and help organize the simulation schedule
- Participate in training radiation therapy students
- Capture patient charges
- Follow radiation safety practices using ALARA principles
