Radiation Therapist

Job Overview

Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
Contract length: 13 weeks
Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
Requested time off must be included with the submission and is limited to minimal time off, including summer holidays

Required Qualifications

Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
ARRT (R)
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Job Responsibilities

Operate LINAC equipment to deliver prescribed radiation therapy
Assist with patient setup, positioning or restraining devices, portal adjustments, tumor localization, dosimetry, and CT clinical simulation
Monitor patients in the treatment room and help organize the simulation schedule
Participate in training radiation therapy students
Capture patient charges
Follow radiation safety practices using ALARA principles

Additional Notes

Travel experience is preferred
