Registered Nurse — Med Surg
Location

Contract Length

Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Driver's License
- PCA (patient-controlled analgesia) experience
- Heparin drip experience
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-op surgical experience
- Experience with hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries
Additional Job Details
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Traveler will float across all campuses
- Required to work 1–2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed
- Unit uses EPIC
- Patient ratio: 1:4–5
- Unit bed size: 30
- Patient types include hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries
- Drips include PCA and heparin
