Cath Lab RN

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract RN role in Columbia, South Carolina
  • Day shift: 4x10s, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • On-call required
  • No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
  • First-time travelers accepted

Schedule and Call

  • Weekend coverage is required
  • Call includes one weekend per month and one weekday call shift each week
  • Block scheduling may be considered with manager approval, depending on unit needs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
  • 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Electrophysiology Lab experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Radiation badge required
  • Must be able to provide a radiation badge through the agency
  • Must have a valid physical source verification for licensure
  • NURSYS verification required as applicable

Preferred / Additional Notes

  • Epic charting used
  • Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius
  • Scrubs are hospital-issued for Cath Lab

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Compliance / Pre-Start Items

  • Proof of 2 clinical references
  • Work history verification for the last 3 clinical employers
  • Complete application/resume with PTO, contract assignments, agency names, and no unaccounted gaps
  • Annual background check and required screenings
  • Education verification required
  • Physical exam within 90 days of start
  • Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
  • TB testing within 90 days of start
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Flu documentation required during flu season
  • COVID vaccination documentation is preferred; declination accepted if not provided
  • Respirator clearance required annually
  • Orientation modules and facility-specific forms must be completed before start
