Medical Surgical Nurse

Overview

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours
Weekly hours: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

NIH certification
Neuro experience

Assignment Details

Patient ratio: 1:5-6
Floating is required
Weekend shifts: 12-16 per contract
Block scheduling may be accommodated
RTO limit: 7 days maximum
Travelers may be assigned to storm, hurricane, mass casualty, or disaster response coverage as needed
Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office may occur, with reassignment to units as needed

Neuro surgical procedures and neuro diagnoses

Unit Information

Scheduling is managed by the manager
Orientation includes 2 unit orientation shifts after hospital-based orientation
Scrubs: Navy

Locals are accepted
