Stepdown Cardiac

Job Overview

Travel/contract RN position in Pinehurst, North Carolina
Night shift, 3x12 hours
36 hours per week
13-week assignment
ASAP start
Float pool role rotating between multiple stepdown units based on need

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiac Stepdown (1 year of experience)
Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
Stepdown experience
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience with Epic

Scheduling / Assignment Notes

Maximum 7 days of requested time off
Time off may not be accommodated during major holiday weeks

Compliance / Onboarding

Government-issued photo ID
Background check covering the past 7 years of work, school, and residence history
EPLS/GSA/SAM check
HHS/OIG check
NURSYS verification
Primary source verification of state license
Two clinical references, with at least one from a supervisor or higher

Health Requirements

Tdap within 10 years of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
Drug screen within 30 days of start
Physical exam within 1 year of start

Additional Notes

Scrubs: any solid color except ER; ER uses solid black; OR/L&D scrubs are provided
Acute care hospital with 402 staffed beds
