Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• ACLS
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (3 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• Med Surg experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient education using appropriate education methods
• Support patient safety using preventative measures and follow restraint policy
• Operate equipment safely in PCU, telemetry, and MedSurg areas
• Follow infection control, isolation, and standard precautions procedures
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including patient status, interventions, responses, and charge documentation
• Complete physician orders in a timely manner and perform 24-hour order checks when assigned
• Give accurate shift reports and communicate clearly with other departments
• Report critical lab values to the physician according to policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general supplies
