RN - Med Surg

Overview

Job type: Travel RN
Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Contract length: 13 weeks
Weekly hours: 36
Weekend requirement: Every third weekend
Call: None
Float: Must be willing to float
Patient ratio: 4–6:1
Patient population: Geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients age 13 and older

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
PALS certification
NIHSS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Orthopedics experience

Unit Details

Specialty areas: Ortho, post-operative, Med/Surg
Common cases: Post-op joints, post-op bariatric, post-op GI, trauma patients
Bed count: 23
Trauma level: III

Additional Notes

Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
Travel eligibility: Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered travel
State requirement: Tennessee Abuse Registry check required before start
Dress code: Any scrub color; T-shirts must have hospital logo; no acrylic nails
