Description
ICU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Location: Metairie, Louisiana
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Schedule and Work Setting
- Weekend shifts required: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Floating required to all ICUs, with possible float to the ED, PACU, and occasionally MS/PCU units
- Patient ratio is typically 1:2 and may flex to 1:3
- Nurses perform lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts
Additional Notes
- Must be able to care for isolation patients, including patients with COVID-19
- N95 mask size should be known
- RTO is limited to 5 days total
