Ultrasound Tech - General
Job Overview
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Location: Harlan, Kentucky
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Hours per week: 40
- On-call: 2 per week and 2 weekends per month
- Float: Required within scope of practice
Required Qualifications
- Ultrasound Technologist with 2 years of experience
- Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
- Registered ARRT
- ARDMS
- Driver's License
- General ultrasound experience
- Biopsy experience
- GE Loqiq machine experience
Additional Job Details
- Must live at least 75 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted
- Assignment confirmation must be signed within 24 hours of offer
- Driver’s license is required for submission
- Orientation is bi-weekly
- Schedule is 36/48 for the two-week pay period unless otherwise noted
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- 2 references within 1 year of start date; one may be a Charge RN, and the second must be a supervisor or higher
- 7-year work history verification
- Background check and education verification
- Kentucky vulnerable adult registry search
- Physical exam or physician statement within 1 year of start, clearing the worker for duty without restrictions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Proof of immunity or acceptable documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap
- Drug screening within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption during flu season
- Fit mask testing completed onsite
- Required facility onboarding and health attestation documents
- Skills checklist and competency documentation
- National certification verification and state license verification as applicable
- BLS certification is required for all RNs, respiratory therapists, and CT techs
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, and CPI are listed in the source but are not stated as required for this role specifically
