Description

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Overview

  • Travel RN position in San Antonio, Texas
  • 13-week assignment
  • 36 hours per week
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

  • Labor and delivery unit
  • 16 LDRs, 5 triage beds, and 7 antepartum beds
  • Patient ratio: 1:2
  • Unit clerk and ORT available 24/7
  • Uses fetal monitors
  • Documentation system: Meditech / CPN mostly

Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
  • Floating is required

Scheduling Notes

  • Weekend and call requirements are discussed during the interview

Preferred

  • Meditech familiarity
